The latest installment of the Garden City Community Brew will be released July 10 during Missoula’s Downtown Tonight event at Caras Park.  The Lemon Lager brewed by Big Sky Brewing Co. will be on tap along with other limited release beers during the summer evening festivities.

The Garden City Community Brew is a collaboration between the Missoula County Tavern Owners Association and Missoula’s four breweries, Big Sky, Draught Works, Kettlehouse and Bayern.  Proceeds from the sale of the Community Brew are donated to a charitable organization.

Proceeds from the Lemon Lager will benefit Missoula’s WORD, Inc.’s Summer Arts & Leadership Camp.  The project provides a free summer day camp to children recognized as homeless or are at-risk for homelessness.

The Tavern Association and its partner breweries hope to rise $9,000 from the sale of the beer which would fund nearly two years of the camp. The first Community Brew raised $4,000 for the Missoula Food Bank.
