Save The Date for These July Beer Festivals

July is a great month to enjoy Montana and even better when you can take in a beer festival or beer event.  Here are several you might want to check out:

Big Sky Brewfest 2014, July 11, 2014, Big Sky Mountain Village.  Enjoy 70 beers from 35 breweries, fine cuisine and live music from 3:00 to 10:00 p.m. with an after party at Whiskey Jack’s.
11th Annual Dog and Grog Microbrew Festival, July 18 – 19, 2014, Virginia City.  Draught Works Brewery is sponsoring the Friday evening Wee Dog pint night at the Bale of Hay Saloon followed by Saturday’s beer festival featuring 10 Montana breweries from Billings to Missoula.

Pints for Paths, July 12, 2014, West Glacier.  More than fifteen breweries will be on hand to help raise funds to complete the Gateway to Glacier Trail along Highway 2 from Hungry Horse to West Glacier.

Montana Brews and BBQs, July 12, 2014, Billings. This 4th annual celebration of Montana beer and BBQ takes place around the lake at MetraPark. More than 70 Montana beers will be available along with great food and live music.

20th Annual Bitterroot Chamber of Commerce Brewfest, July 26, 2014, Hamilton.  This long running celebration of the Bitterroot community takes place from 3:00 to 10:00 p.m. and include voting for the popular people’s choice award.

Badlands Brew-a-Palooza, July 26, 2014, Glendive. Enjoy beer tasting, beer olympics, live entertainment, food and more at the Madhatters Courtyard.

Hops and History: Local Beer, Free History, July 29, 2014, Bozeman. The Museum of the Rockies hosts this informative and tasty lecture series exploring the history of beer in Montana on the last Tuesday of every month from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  For July, head to the Museum’s Living History Farm and explore the history of growing and preparing grain and hops for the brewing process while enjoying beer from nearby Bridger Brewing.
