Helena Ales for Trails is Friday, May 16

You feel it, right?  Mid-May in Montana is certainly the time where we finally start letting ourselves believe in warm weather again.  The snow that fell last Sunday for Mother’s Day morning, notwithstanding.

Missoula kicked off its spring with the Garden City Brewfest on the 3rd.  Now it’s Helena’s turn with the fourth running of the Ales for Trails beer and wine tasting festival at the Lewis and Clark Fairgrounds on Friday, May 16 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Boasting 54 beers from fourteen breweries at last count, the Ales for Trails festival is a fundraiser for Helena trails system.  The Centennial Trail, which will connect Spring Meadow Lake with East Helena, is again the featured trail beneficiary.  Last year’s event raised more than $10,000 for the trail.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 on the day of the event and come with a custom printed 12 oz Helena Ales for Trails Belgian Tulip Glass along with two beer tokens (6 oz pours).  Also available are VIP tickets for $35 which get you in to the event at 4:00 p.m. and the opportunity to interact with brewers, take beer tours, brewing demonstrations, free food pairings and more.

Tickets are available at  Hub Coffee, Blackfoot River Brewing and Lewis & Clark Brewing (or at the door on Friday).  For more information, check out their facebook page.
