New Belgium Brewing Co. brings its Clips Beer & Film Tour (previously known as Clips of Faith) to Missoula for the fourth time on Friday, July 19, at Caras Park beginning at 8:30 p.m. Clips Beer & Film Tour is a “beer toting, film-traveling, nonprofit-benefiting show that takes in 18 cities on its coast-to-coast route.”
The event offers beer lovers the chance to try New Belgium Brewing’s “most esoteric” beers while pairing them with short films created by the brewery’s fans and shown on a huge outdoor screen. New Belgium’s classic beers will also be available and you can try them in 3 oz samples or enjoy as a 12 oz pour. Food will be available from the Blue Bison Grill and the Empanada Lady. All of the proceeds from the beer sales during the tour benefit a local non-profit organization.
In Missoula, that non-profit organization is the Bike/Walk Alliance for Missoula. BWAM is a member-driven* organization created to improve the safety, health and enjoyment of the Five Valley area by promoting and enhancing bicycling and walking for everyday transportation and recreation.
And they need volunteers to help with the event.
New Belgium beers expected to be available include: Cascara Quad, Heavenly Feijoa Tripel- Dieu de Ciel! Collaboration, Biere be Mars, Biere de Gaarde- Brewery Vivant Collaboration, Rolle Bolle, Paardebloem, French Aramis IPA, Pluot Ale, Rampant, La Folie, Ranger, 1554, Fat Tire, Trippel, Abbey, Blue Paddle, and Shift.
For 2012 the Tour raised nearly $118,000 for nonprofits from approximately 16,400 attendees.
